Offsetting your CO2 emissions is now possible when flying with Simply Jet.
In partnership with the Swiss non-profit organisation myclimate, we want to make you aware of the CO2 emissions on your flights. Thanks to the calculation method developed in collaboration with myclimate, 100% of the direct and indirect emissions will be offset, making your flight carbon neutral.
Once your flight has been completed, we will send you instructions on how you can offset your flight, if you wish, through the Swiss foundation myclimate.
Why should I offset the carbon emissions of my flight?
The world is currently facing one of the greatest challenges of its existence: The climate change! Through its carbon offsetting scheme called Simply Green, Simply Jet offers you the opportunity to participate in the global effort to protect the environment by offsetting the carbon emissions of your flights.
How does carbon offset work?
myclimate provides the option to offset unavoidable emissions by means of climate protection measures elsewhere. Because – in contrast to air pollution – it generally makes no difference to the climate where on the surface of the earth the unwanted gases get into the atmosphere and where they are reduced. The important thing is for greenhouse gas emissions to be reduced overall worldwide. Therefore, it makes sense for emissions that get into the air at one location to be saved at another.

We have built together with myclimate a formula that accurately calculates the CO2 emissions that need to be offset in order to make each of your flights carbon neutral. Once we receive your donation, we will deliver you with an official "carbon neutral flight" label. Efficient Cook Stoves save Habitat for the last of the Mountain Gorillas
A reduction in the use of firewood means habitat for animals, less deforestation, reduction in greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere, more time and money, and improved health for women and girls in Rwanda! This can be achieved with the subsidised sale of energy efficient cook stoves to families around the Volcanoes National Park in North-West Rwanda. Click here for more information about this project.
Mangrove Restoration & Women Empowerment
The project engages the local population of a coastal region in Myanmar to restore degraded mangrove ecosystems. The aim is to create healthy mangrove forests that take up carbon, protect the population from natural disasters and conserve biodiversity by representing a key habitat for endangered species. At the same time, the project aims at diversifying livelihoods of local communities and increasing their well-being.
Renaturation of Moorland in Schwändital
Thanks to this project, moorland in the Schwändital valley in Glarus (Switzerland) can be restored to its natural state, resulting in the release of less greenhouse gas into the atmosphere. But climate protection is not the only advantage of rewetting this moorland; it also benefits biodiversity, the water balance and the local construction industry.
